More New Stuff

Surely you’ve noticed how great our weather’s been.  But in Tucson, that means that we have less day light available and getting in those workouts can be tough!  We have the tools to help take advantage of this weather.  Headlamps by Princeton Tec are now in.  The Byte offers 35 lumens, weighs only 64 grams and is only $19.99!  Also available is the Fuel, offering 43 lumens at 78 grams, available in pink, green or black at only $26.99.

New styles of Sweaty Bands are now in and the prints are really fun!

Winter wear is ready for you.  No excuses when its cold outside!  We’ve got the gear to keep you warm and dry.

Last, but not least, is the new Garmin 210.  The Forerunner 210 is an evolution of the Forerunner 110, with interval workouts, HR zones and virtual training partner.  It is offered at $299.99.  The Forerunner 410 will be here soon.  It is much like the classic forerunner 405 but with an improved touch bezel and will go for $324.99.

Training Group Continues!

The fun continues!  We’ve had so much fun with our training groups, we’ve decided to keep it going perpetually!  You can sign up for a 12 week cycle at any time.  Whether you’d like to conquer a particular distance, set a new PR or simply to get into shape, our Training Group will help you achieve your goal!

Whether you are a beginner or more advanced runner or runner/walker, our goal is to help you achieve your fitness goals and complete your event injury free and happy!  A schedule developed for your particular needs will be designed for you.  Programs fees are $100 for the 12 week program ($80 if you’re continuing from a previous Training Group.)  Program benefits include a written training schedule, a technical training shirt and Camelbak water bottle, twice weekly supported and supervised workouts, and a 10% discount at The Running Shop.

Please call or email us with any questions about our program.  Let your friends know!

Upcoming Events

Join us on Thanksgiving morning for the 17th Annual Thanksgiving Cross Country Classic!  This European-style cross country event, with hay bales and water jumps, offers a good time for all before indulging in your Thanksgiving feast.  Early entry fees are only $14 for SAR members and $16 for non SAR members and are available through November 19.  The run benefits Toys for Tots and boxes will be available for donated toys.  Go to http://azroadrunners.org/races/detail/thanksgiving for more information.

Construction continues at the intersection of Campbell and Ft. Lowell.  Traffic now flows on the west side of Campbell and access to our parking lot is much easier.  But it can still be slow getting through the intersection so please plan accordingly!
